What a great cover! It's very dramatic. Toward the end, I began to see some connections to the current political climate, and that made it interesting enough I could finish. I didn't enjoy it much, though.Augustina Peachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02877972911614256133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804246737172206103.post-30093761246512608032017-01-05T03:15:17.327-06:002017-01-05T03:15:17.327-06:00I enjoy your blog and your thoughts and reviews on...I enjoy your blog and your thoughts and reviews on the books you read. I have the new book by Harper Lee on my Kindle, but haven't finished it yet. I'm such a fan of "To Kill a Mockingbird" but it has been difficult to get into the new one.

May you have a Happy and Blessed New Year!Anitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03205461146035913939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804246737172206103.post-78002821321057779252017-01-04T15:07:14.806-06:002017-01-04T15:07:14.806-06:00I thought I'd been pretty secretive about my n...I thought I'd been pretty secretive about my new book, but yes, you're right, I see that I did say in August on Facebook that I'd nearly finished it. As usual I was overly optimistic, but I did finish it in early October and it's now with my agent.

The beginning of the fall semester, of course! How could I have forgotten that?

Ann Turnbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06484265041343702129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804246737172206103.post-32429552144930597582017-01-03T20:51:21.251-06:002017-01-03T20:51:21.251-06:00Thank you for your kind words, Ann. My only excuse for not giving Our Present Suffering a better send-off was that the release date coincided with the first weeks of the fall semester this year. I need to arrange my calendar better in the future! I hope you will enjoy the book. Several readers have told me it is their favorite of the three.

As for new releases....did I see something recently saying you have a new young adult book in final editing stages? I really hope so - I haven't read anything in a long time that was as engrossing as your books. It would be fun to have a new one for the reading list this year. It can be hard to keep up with a blog that appears every day, whether you are its writer or one of its readers. However, you really should have posted when your new book was published back in September, and told us the title, and posted a link!! I have now tracked it down and ordered a copy, and am very much looking forward to reading it. Ann Turnbullhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06484265041343702129noreply@blogger.com
